More than just a charity event with great wine, great food and great entertainment – the Grape Debate is the flagship event series of Planit Events. Planit Events Director, Rebecca Tacon, launched the very first event in Hawke’s Bay before expanding to Marlborough then on to Central Otago and Auckland.

Supporting a local charity is at the heart of the Grape Debate, in particular supporting charities that make a real difference in their local communities. The charities the have been supported by the Grape Debate so far include:

  • Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust – a dedicated Rescue Helicopter service to those who require urgent medical, or search and rescue support in the Hawke’s Bay Region.
  • Sticks’n’Stones – a multi-award winning, authentically youth led organisation committed to bullying prevention.
  • Marlborough’s Mayoral Relief Fund – a support fund established to assist those suffering hardship as a result of the Kaikoura Earthquake.
  • Nelson/Marlborough Rescue Helicopter – the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust administers a professional air rescue service throughout the Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Buller regions.

The Grape Debate wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of amazing sponsors. If you would like to discuss sponsorship opportunities, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@eventshb.co.nz
